Public Records Requests

In accordance with the Washington State Public Records Act, RCW 42.56, the Port of Ridgefield provides the public with access to public records, including inspection or copies of records, unless specifically exempted by law.

Once a request is submitted, the Port will respond within 5 business days by either a) providing the records requested; b) acknowledging the Port has received the request; or c) denying the request. Additional time may be required for substantial records requests. The Port will communicate the expected time required for substantial records requests within the 5 business days. The Port may also contact the requestor for clarification of the request or to coordinate delivery of the records.

Many public records are currently available on the Port’s website or Dropbox at no cost. This includes the current year’s Commission meeting packets, agendas, resolutions, and minutes, and the annual budget.
