CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITIES AND CONTRACTS

The Port acquires a variety of types of construction and other services including: engineering, industrial construction, commercial building, small works, integrating the demands of current and future Port of Ridgefield tenants, and the necessary development activities associated with continued development of the Port of Ridgefield District.

Invitation to Bid – Off-Property Portion Remedial Action Project

The Port of Ridgefield invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bids for the Off-Property Portion Remedial Action project. This project is part of an ongoing environmental cleanup effort in coordination with the Washington State Department of Ecology.


Project Overview

Work will occur within a residential neighborhood in Ridgefield, Washington, and includes both private yards and public rights-of-way. The scope of work consists of:

  • Excavation and off-site disposal of dioxin-contaminated soil
  • Supply and installation of clean topsoil and aggregate base
  • Complete residential landscaping restoration (lawns, plants, irrigation, hardscape, etc.)
  • Coordination with residents to minimize disruption


The selected contractor will be required to adhere to strict environmental and safety standards, as well as permitting and oversight requirements.

Pre-Bid Requirements

Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference and site walk is required for any firm intending to submit a bid. Bids from firms not in attendance will not be accepted.
