Oak Ridge Business Park

A new home for small businesses in Ridgefield.

Overview

The Port of Ridgefield develops high-quality facilities for businesses of all sizes. We are currently planning a new facility in southwest Ridgefield: Oak Ridge Business Park. The facility will feature a 20,000-square-foot industrial building with flexible 1,500- to 2,000-square-foot suites designed for small businesses, particularly in the trades.

Ridgefield faces a shortage of appropriately sized commercial and industrial units, limiting growth for local contractors, fabricators, makers, and start-ups. The Port's investment in Oak Ridge catalyzes $75,000 in grant dollars from the Washington State Community Economic Revitalization Board to deliver affordable, flexible industrial space that directly supports job creation and strengthens the region’s small-business ecosystem.

Timeline

  • Spring 2026: Competitive solicitation for planning and pre-design services.
  • Late 2026: Planning project complete.
  • 2027: Design and permitting.
  • 2027-2028: Construction.
  • 2028-2029: First tenants move in.

Oak Ridge Facts

  • Multiple 1,500- to 2,000-square-foot suites focus on right fit for startups, small businesses.
  • Expected to support 30 existing and new jobs.
  • Two-acre, Port owned industrial property, located within the City of Ridgefield.
  • Consistent with surrounding industrial facilities and uses.
  • Meets identified needs in City of Ridgefield and Columbia River Economic Development Council strategic plans for supporting small businesses and an overall diverse business ecosystem.
