Changes are coming to the Port of Ridgefield’s public boat launch! Earlier this year, the port’s Board of Commissioners discussed changes in two public meetings, heard public comment, and approved multiple changes to our boat launch program. These changes are intended to help manage the high demand we see for the boat launch, support port district residents’ access to the public facilities they fund, and enforce port policies around use of the boat launch and surrounding amenities.

Starting Jan. 1, 2023, non-port district residents must access the boat launch using day passes; annual passes are no longer available for users who reside outside of the district. Port district residents can continue to purchase day use or annual passes. Other changes include increasing enforcement of port policies, fines of up to $150 and permanent ban from the boat launch for multiple violations, requiring a use pass for mobile vendors, and eliminating fees for unpowered watercraft at the Division Street launch. District resident annual use passes, day passes, and mobile vendor passes are available for purchase at the port offices, or you can fill out our form and return it to the port with payment. Visit our offices at 111 West Division Street, Ridgefield, or mail your form and payment to PO Box 55, Ridgefield, WA 98642.

Fees the port collects are used to maintain and improve our boat launch, including the ramps, docks, parking lot, restrooms, and ADA-accessible facilities. The port is investing in multiple improvements to these facilities to help ensure they continue serving our community.
