In October last year, audits of the port for the years 2017 and 2018 were concluded by the Washington State Auditor’s Office.

The Accountability Audit concluded that “Port operations complied with applicable state laws, regulations, and its own policies, and provided adequate controls over the safeguarding of public resources.”

The Financial Statement Audit concluded the Port had no deficiencies in internal controls. It also stated “the financial position of the Port of Ridgefield, as of December 31, 2018 and 2017, and the changes in financial position and, where applicable, cash flows thereof for the years then ended in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United State of America.”
